Unit 6
I still seem to be finding myself struggling to focus on
these practices. I do feel like I am improving, and change does not happen over
time. During the Loving Kindness, meditation exercise I found myself forgetting
about the sentences I was supposed to be focusing on. After completing the
assessment, I found that I do still have some improvements to make, but maybe I
can try a different form of mediation. Since I have a hard time sitting still
and focusing on sentences, maybe Yoga may be the next practice I try. Focusing
on the movements I should be making and focusing on breathing may help keep my
mind still and on task.

Hi Megan,
ReplyDeleteGive it time or find the time a day when you feel the most relaxed. Being tired also works. I tend to concentrate better at night when my day is over and ready to go to sleep. Coffee is fatal for concentration. I’m hyped up and ready to go to work. Yoga may work for you. Good luck.

Megan,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you are still having issues with your meditations. May I offer you this advise? Just keep practicing. After all practice makes perfect. I think that Yoga would be a great idea for you to try. Also you may want to try to find someone with some experience meditating, so that you may gain better insight into your issue and be more successful in your meditations.
All the Best
